What is the renewal cost in subsequent years?

The launch price is ₹100/year for Year 1 only.
We are subsidizing the cost so that you get to the experience the capabilities of OpenStays.

From Year 2, the subscription price will change and we will inform you few months in advance.
You can cancel anytime before renewal.

What features are available today or coming later?

The booking engine and reservation system is live and hosts can take bookings through the dashboard today. WhatsApp features are in beta access. We want you to try these features with confidence.

We expect Google Hotels Integration (linking your Google Maps Profile) to be live by 2026.
We will also be launching mobile apps.

Voice AI is in the roadmap and we will keep you posted once it’s live.

How are guest payments handled?

You pick the payment mode per property — online payment gateway, your direct UPI ID or on-arrival cash.
You can also configure full payment, partial payment, or pay at property.
OpenStays is never in the funds path; the guest pays you directly.

What’s a WhatsApp communication credit and what happens after the 100 free ones?

When using API’s WhatsApp officially charges fees and we have our fees added on top of that.

WhatsApp messages can be host initiated(in response to enquiry or for reminders) or guest initiated.
There is no charges for incoming messages from the guest.
We charge 1 credit for every WhatsApp outgoing message.
₹1 = 1 credit. GST is extra.

When AI is used in WhatsApp messages, it will incur additional credits.
AI features are under development and we will inform about this pricing later.

Your plan includes 100 free WhatsApp communication credits on activation; after that, you can top up via the dashboard.

Can I use OpenStays alongside other OTA’s?

Yes. OpenStays handles your direct channel (your own booking page + WhatsApp + voice).
You can keep OTA listings running in parallel.

We do not import any reservation data from other OTA’s. You are free to add those reservations manually and attributing the source for reporting purposes.

We plan to offer calendar sync feature with iCal – which is supported by many OTA’s.

How long does onboarding take?

~15 minutes for the listing itself: name, location, rooms, photos, rates. The full polish (multiple room types, add-ons, integrations) takes ~1 hour. We have a guided wizard.
